You’d grow up and bum your first smoke off of Sirius and Remus would chastise and wink at you all at once. Marley would have sexually frustrated all your friends, and teased you about it. James would have given you the cloak himself, and you and Ron would have gotten the two way mirrors. Instead of running from Death Eaters, you’d be running from all the Slytherins you pranked. And Neville might have been like your cousin, because of how well Alice and Lily got on.

So, like any good father, I was about to change Harry’s diaper. This was the second time I’d done it too! I didn’t muck up the first time, so that was amazing. We were out of wipes, or whatever Lils likes to call them, you wipe their arse with it.

I go popping down to the convenience store, Wizard-style, and of course I don’t steal, I grab the wipes, and leave some change by the empty spot. I had Harry all open-legged, bare-arsed, ready to go, there wasn’t a moment to lose. This priest…

This guy:

He goes up to me and he says “THOU SHALL NOT PASS!” I just wave my arms in the air like he’s actually working some Godly Muggle magic on me and apparate way. I go back to find that Harry fell off of the changing table bloody fucking hell.

The moral of the story is, you can’t trust the system.

In the end, Harry got changed, and a nasty bump on his head…That’ll be hard to explain to Lily.

His hand teased at the waistline. He hadn’t lessened the kisses, they trailed along her cheek and jaw, down to her neck at her pulse point where he nipped lightly. His hand had moved beneath the line of her pants, thought stayed on the outside of her knickers, teasing, which was what James was best at anyway. His hand pressed again and again in a rhythmic motion as he kissed her again before looking straight into her lovely, wonderful eyes.
